The ROMEOZero was designed to match the Shield RMS-c footprint.  Two sets of mounting screws are included with commercial versions of the ROMEOZero – M3 screws which are meant to mount the ROMEOZero to SIG P365 optics-ready slides, and M4 screws which are meant to mount the ROMEOZero to certain pistols that have slides cut for the Shield RMS-c footprint.

SIG Sauer does not recommend mounting the ROMEOZero to Springfield Hellcat pistols, as the Hellcat design does not allow for a sufficient amount of thread engagement with the optic mounting screws.

SIG Sauer assumes no liability if a user attempts to mount a ROMEOZero to a Springfield Hellcat pistol slide. Customers are encouraged to contact their firearm’s manufacturer for guidance on compatible optics products and specific installation procedures for their firearm.

It was a gift, but was able to see it on and used… impressed and like the small profile!

The install of this red dot was easy, mostly. My Canik has multple adpter plates for optics. Installation took about 2-3 min. Optic works well so far. I have not gone to the range to zero it in yet. 2 minor compliants about this item.
    1) the protective steel cover only has 2x holes for the mounting screws and 2x rear holes for the aligement. My adpter plate has 4x alignment dots, so the steel shield for the optic can’t be mounted. I ended up drilling 2x front holes to mount it. It seems to protect the optic well.
    2) the on/off/brightness adjustment button is right behind the glass, but inside of the dome. It is hard to put a finger there to turn it on and off or adjust brightness. Would have been nice to have the button on the side or the back of the device where it is easily reachable.

I bought this optics and have several other sig optics. Bought this for my 365 xl. It’s a good optic just with the button for the brightness wasn’t so close to the lens. Some say that since you have to take it off to replace the battery and revert it it’s a negative, but I think of it as a positive because you have to shoot some more and more practice. Overall great optic for conceal carry.

Got this to put on a Sig P365XL and so far happy. Battery replacement will be a slight pain since you will need to remove the slide, then unscrew the optic to get to the battery location.

The MOTAC feature is nice but I would have liked the auto bright/dim feature but for the money Im not going to complain. The dimmer button is sort of an odd place but I use the medium brightness settings so its good enough for day but not too bright at night.

MOTAC Auto On/Off feature seems to work very well but is very sensitive to movement. Just touching the firearm will auto on. As for battery life, time will tell.

What the description doesnt say is while yes its a polymer frame, it does also include a metal frame that the red dot will slide into before mounting then mounts all as 1 piece. So it does give some more added protection.
Whats also nice is unless you look very close you cant tell its there. Each side of the metal frame does have Sigs logo. It also doesnt really add any weight thats noticeable either.

Purchased this dot under the impression that it fits on the Shield footprint. While that may be true, it does not fit on the Shield optics plate that Walther has for their PDP handgun. I will be returning the red dot, but while I was messing with it it seems to be a perfectly acceptable budget pistol dot. Lightweight, and plenty bright.

  6. Nestor

Nice little red dot. I installed it with the included shield on my Sig Sauer p356. The red dot is big and bright. I actually like it better than my more expensive red dots, which is why I chose it for my daily carry pistol.

  7. Sandra

The site arrived on Sunday, installed on my gun the next day went shooting. It was easy to set up very accurate. Did not have any malfunctions whatsoever. It helps zero once set perfectly. For the price I highly recommend this site. For home defense this would work great.

  8. Adams

OK, the optic itself is a good value for what it is. That they include the hood is a nice touch, but there is one fatal flaw in it. The optic has positioning pegs front and rear. No problem there. If you have a cut or MOS plate with positioning lugs in the front you are out of luck.
Deducted 1 star because of this. I modified a cheap aftermarket mounting plate to make this work, but without the lugs, not sure how well it will hold zero after firing or bumps.

  9. Emmanuel

Fits P322 perfectly. Only complaint is the switch position. That’s why the 4star. Switch so close to the lens too easy to touch the lens. Actuality I should have given it a 5 star. Love it. The auto on and off is great!

  10. Julien

Just received and installed. Feels lite and came with the metal protective shroud which I wasn’t expecting and was nice to see. Unit gets pretty bright and I have no complaints. But it should be noted that the description shows a 3 MOA unit but I received a 6 MOA. This is in no way a deal breaker but worth the mention.
